A diagnosis of cancer is a life-changing event, and the Women's Health Gynecologic Oncology division at Maine Medical Partners aims to support our patients during this difficult period by treating each individual with respect and warmth. We develop a treatment plan specifically for each woman, to ensure she receives the highest quality care. Our team is able to stay current with the newest treatments available by actively participating in clinical trials, whether they involve chemotherapy or surgical interventions. Furthermore, our Practitioners and Nurses dedicate their time to be with our patients every step of the way, and are available at all times.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse who shares this same commitment and dedication as our team at the Women's Health Gynecologic Oncology division of Maine Medical Partners. Under the direction of physicians, this position is responsible for assisting with total patient care by performing clinical duties, responding to patient telephone inquiries, and coordinating care both at the office and at outside facilities.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing.
Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure.
Two years of experience preferred.
Current BLS required.
Oncology experience strongly desired.
Relocation assistance is available for qualified individuals.
Women's Health Gynecologic Oncology division is affiliated with Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) through our relationship with Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. We participate in pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials that look at new therapies or combinations of therapies for the treatment of gynecologic cancers. Our research is reviewed and approved by the GOG as well as the Maine Medical Center Institutional Review Board.
