Reporting to the SVP & CNO, the Director, Hematology Nursing Units provides strategic leadership to the internal and external nursing community in the areas of patient care, education, research and quality. The Director creates collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the institution to positively impact the business of nursing and patient care outcomes. Responsibilities include all aspects of patient safety, clinical operations, education, research, customer service, finance, human resources, quality outcome management and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will have eight years of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting, including five years of leadership experience. Experience in hematology patient care is required. Licensure as a Registered Nurse; an oncology certification from a national certifying body; a BSN and a Master’s degree are also required.
