In this role, the Nurse Manager is responsible for managing, planning, directing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating Nursing care for the Ambulatory Chemotherapy Center and supports the mission and vision of NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Maintains a smooth patient flow in the area under his/her supervision. Orients, trains and evaluates personnel assigned to the area as well as recommend, transfer, promote and terminate said personnel.
Recommends and implements procedure to improve service, and maintain efficiency. Responsible for case management and patient care delivery through nursing assessment, nursing intervention, patient education, patient care coordination and utilization of referral services, as part of the health care system.
Coordinates treatment and referrals, tracks patients, assists in treatment and addresses noncompliance and other patient follow-up issues.
Participates in planning, coordination and the delivery of patient education, health enhancement and disease prevention activities on behalf of the patients, while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Baccalaureate Degree required.
Currently licensed to practice as Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
