Quorum Health Resources is actively recruiting a Chief Financial Officer for West Park Hospital District in Cody, Wyoming. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for administering the general accounting, patient business services, including third party reimbursement, financial and statistical reporting functions of the hospital in accordance with established policies and accounting procedures. This position works collaboratively with the CEO and governing Board in the development of long and short range hospital operations plans and capital budgets as supported by the hospital's long and short range objectives. The CFO monitors the hospital's fiscal performance on realizing its established plans and objectives and identifies and reports undesirable trends with remedial action recommendations to the governing Board for final review and approval. The CFO assumes a lead role in exploring and implementing means of managing and improving the financial performance of the hospital as well as oversees internal accounting controls, all areas of receivables management, and other business office systems and procedures to achieve efficiencies in the business office.

West Park Hospital District is a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital which is governed by a 7 member, elected board. WPHD also offers a 94 bed intermediate/skilled bed LTCC, 16 bed Chemical Dependency Center (licensed as an outpatient unit) and 8 hospice beds (Spirit Mountain Hospice House). ADC = 14 acute, 80 LTCC, 12 CMC and 6 hospice. Total service area/population = 55,000. Gross patient revenues = $178 million, net patient revenues = $97.5 million, with A/R days = 58.9 (net) and bad debt = 4.4%. FTE's/adjusted occupied bed = 10.2. Billing, Accounting and Electronic Medical Record software in use is Meditech 6.0, with conversion to Meditech 6.15 scheduled February, 2017. There are 58 active physicians on staff, with another 14 physicians in courtesy/consulting roles. WPHD offers services in Dialysis, Chemical Dependency Center, LTCC, Cancer Center (Radiation & Medical Oncology), a free standing Surgical Center (Hospital owns 40%) and a Hospitalist Program. Specialists include: Neurosurgeon, Cardiologist, 5 Orthopedic Surgeons, Neurologist, ENT, Rheumatologist, Radiation Oncologist, 2 Medical Oncologist, 2 general surgeons, 2 OB/GYN, and 2 Psychiatrists. WPHD is currently in in process of opening a cath lab through collaboration with a regional tertiary care facility. WPHD has recently completed a three phase $60 million addition/renovation project. The Facility Master Plan will be updated in the third quarter, 2017. A $4 million, nine month Cancer Center expansion is planned for May 2017. WPH has developed numerous successful joint ventures with physicians, regional tertiary hospitals, and other national health care companies. Cody and Park County (population 29,000) are located in northwestern Wyoming, about 50 miles from the Montana border. Cody is the eastern gateway into Yellowstone National Park and the county seat.
