University of Miami Hospital and Clinics, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center located in Hollywood has an exciting opening for a Oncology Nurse Supervisor. Incumbent will be responsible for the supervision of the facility during off hours. Receive/Give report to Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager or designee as needed. Rounds on operational clinics and units and whenever necessary to supervise and monitor work performance in terms of patient care, staff regulations and efficiency of services. Communicates and coordinate with the on-duty Security Officer of the shift. Communicates with other department manager/director issues and concerns either in person, via e-mail or by telephone. Ensure that pertinent information or issues are communicating to the Lead Facility Supervisor, Associate Administrator/CNO and Director of Nursing. Bed Control/Emergency Transfers. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The minimum requirements are: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor degree required. Current Florida nursing license required. Three (3) years of recent oncology nursing experience required. Five (5) years recent nursing and management experience preferred. Recent experience in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents. Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Administration Guidelines provider course required. Active Chemotherapy/Biotherapy provider card Required. BLS and ACLS required. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Proven track record of building relationships with physicians, direct reports and key staff. Moderate to advanced computer literacy and skills. Sedation Competencies. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority.
