Currently looking for experienced Research RN's to fill multiple positions in either Hematology or Oncology Research at City of Hope National Medical Center in the Greater Los Angeles Area. Interested candidates must have two or more years experience in Medical Hematology and/or Oncology. Previous experience as a clinical research RN preferred.
Responsibilities of the Hematology Oncology Clinical Research RN
Work collaboratively with physicians, Clinical Research Associates (CRA) and pharmacists to coordinate care for an assigned population of patients who are enrolled into IRB clinical research trials.
Assist in the assessment, management and coordination of care across the continuum of care (outpatient, inpatient and home) including triage of phone calls and proactive patient communication.
Educate patients and families on the clinical trial treatments and required testing.
Responsible to assure that the documentation for the clinical trial is completed and accurate.
Actively participate in planning and evaluation processes to improve and advance clinical research within the organization.
Requirements of the Hematology Oncology Clinical Research RN
Two years experience in either Clinical Trails, Hematology or Oncology.
Previous experience as a clinical research RN preferred.
ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification, Human subjects protection training (can be completed after hire).
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
Additional Salary Information: Compensation for the Hematology Oncology Clinical Research RN position ranges from $100,000 - $125,000 depending on experience.
