Under limited supervision, responsible for assisting in the guidance and coordination of oncology patients and their caregivers through the continuum of care, and development and assimilation of appropriate oncology educational materials for patients and their families as defined by the Disease Site Teams and the patients' physicians. This is an outpatient oncology position.
Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field. BSN required. Maryland Registered Nurse License; American Heart Association CPR Card; Microsoft Office Suite; Basic computer skills; Cerner; Synquest; IDX; Standard Office Equipment; Medical terminology; Nursing Process skills based on MD Nurse Practice Act; Critical thinking skills; Medical equipment. 3-5 of RN experience. Oncology experience required, outpatient oncology experience strongly preferred.
