24 Hours in the Canyon Cancer Survivorship Center (24survivorship.org) is a community based survivorship program based in Amarillo, Texas. The Center focuses on providing services for adult & childhood survivors from the moment of diagnosis, regardless of where their treatment is/was received. Services provided include:
Survivorship RN who provides Survivorship Care Plan & Treatment Summary
Group Exercise Classes
Individual Exercise Sessions with:
Cancer Exercise Specialist
Cancer Recovery Specialist
Oncology Massage Therapist
Licensed Professional Counseling
All of the services provided at the Center are provided at no charge to the survivor.
The Survivorship Center is a program of the Harrington Cancer and Health Foundation (hchfamarillo.org).
This position will be community based, 100% PATIENT FOCUSED, and will be navigating lung and colorectal patients. The uniqueness of this position is that the Navigator will be navigating patients from multiple treatment facilities in the community as well as working with numerous physicians from different entities and health systems.
Registered Nurse - Preferred
Oncology Certified Nurse - Preferred
Minimum of two years adult hematology/oncology clinical nursing experience with demonstrated clinical competence in patient care, teaching and management of patients with a cancer diagnosis, and knowledge about clinical aspects of oncology including protocol therapy and data management
Must have general computer skills and be adaptable to changing working situations and work assignments Excellent interpersonal skills required, with specific ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members, and physicians
