Responsible for the daily operations of our Frauhenshuh Cancer Center Infusion center. Ensures the provision of patient-focused, high quality care that is both efficient and fiscally responsible. Supervises a team that includes nurses, medical assistants and frontline. Leads with strong interpersonal skills and flexibility. Resolves patient complaints while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights. Maintains consistent and up-to-date policies across locations. Takes the lead in process improvement efforts. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PNHS policy.
Graduate from a course of study in nursing resulting in an associate degree, diploma or baccalaureate degree and at least one year related supervisory or three years related non-supervisory experience required.
Proven leadership skills in organizing, planning and directing an operation and its staff. The ability to exercise good judgment, problem solving and conflict management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and insure safety of patients. Knowledgeable of outpatient oncology and infusion therapy practices.
Current state Registered Nursing License required, competency in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), current chemotherapy competency and oncology certification in nursing.
