Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with the physician and nursing team to provide continuous, quality care for Medical Oncology patients. Candidate will participate in assessments throughout chemotherapy process, manage acute issues/toxicity throughout treatment and serve as primary clinical contract/liaison to ensure prompt and thorough coordination of care between the outpatient physician office and Cancer Institute infusion center inpatient settings.
Seasoned professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; knowledge in more than one discipline. Maryland Registered Nurse License; American Heart Association CPR Card; Current Maryland Nurse Practitioner Certification; CPR Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer; Medical equipment; Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite; Cerner; Synquest; Standard Office Equipment; Medical terminology; Nursing Process skills based on MD Nurse Practice Act; Critical thinking skills. Three to five years of experience.
