This job manages and coordinates the daily operations of assigned clinical departments; plans and organizes all clinical functions including staffing and staff development, purchasing and budgeting; and coordinates implementation of disease management/wellness systems under the direction of the physicians.
Ensures quality of care & patient satisfaction through unit-specific systems and improvements.
Manages, develops, retains and inspires an engaged workforce.
Assists with research, education & training to support cutting edge patient care and services.
Ensures operational profitability with preliminary budgets, performance data, system reporting, and inventory management.
Supports long-term strategic business plans through department-specific business planning and special projects.
Manages the physical & technological infrastructure and supports organizational structures.
Other related duties as required.
Required - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Preferred - Master’s degree
Required - 3 years related healthcare experience including 2 years of supervision or management experience and experience managing a budget.
Preferred -Experience in an ambulatory setting
Required - Current State of Louisiana RN License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Excellent leadership skills including the ability to inspire others as well as manage challenging situations.
Excellent organizational, time management, and delegation skills.
Proficiency in basic computer programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
