Join us as we open the Phase I Clinical Trials Unit at the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute. This new state-of-the-art outpatient unit is dedicated to cancer research and provides Connecticut residents with local access to the most innovative treatments and the newest discoveries in cancer care.
Job Summary The Nurse Manager is responsible for creating a positive and innovative work environment while coaching and mentoring the nursing staff to partner with the interprofessional team as they transition the patient through the Clinical Trail process. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for the growth and development of staff, including navigating our novice to expert clinical levels and succession planning for future leaders. In addition, this critical role is accountable for the unit’s quality, regulatory, patient experience and fiscal targets. The Hartford HealthCare culture of Lean Daily Management is executed through our daily huddles and embracing our leadership behaviors, which provides the Nurse Manager with the tools to encourage the team’s ideas and hardwire standard work achieve unit goals.

• Bachelor’s degree Nursing • Current RN license • In-depth knowledge of Phase I oncology clinical trials • Minimum of 3 years of relevant oncology clinical research experience. • Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience in acute care settings • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing staff
