Applicant must have excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and work independently, possess high attention to detail, and interpret technical procedures such as protocol, informed consents and regulatory documents. Under general supervision of a physician, is responsible for enlisting, maintaining, and assuring protocol compliance for all patients and clinical trials. Collaborates with physicians in determining eligibility of patients for clinical trials. Ensures site research quality by practicing in compliance with US Oncology Research, Inc. (USOR) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable federal, state and local regulations through OSHA, CDC and HIPPA. Supports and adheres to US Oncology Compliance Program to include the Code of Ethics Business Standard.
Key Responsibilites include:
Screening potential patients 20% Coordinates patient care in compliance protocol requirements 20% Reviews patient changes in condition, adverse events concomitant medication use, compliance and billing guides 30% Oversee study enrollment goals. Determine goals in promoting research protocol participants 5% Maintains regulatory documents 5% Participates in required training and educational programs 10% Oversees the preparation of orders by physician to assure protocol compliance is maintained. 5%
