ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Order Labs (share with RNs)
Assist with triage of phone calls
Clean, stock, dispose of waste, and prep supplies in the infusion area
Print/order next day and following day's schedule for labs, next treatment schedule and alpha check off list
Manage FMLA/Disability paperwork
Assist Triage with Faxes/order queue
Monitor O2 tanks and order supplies as needed
Vital Signs as neededSQ/IM InjectionsPort access/PICC line care
Patient comfort care measures EKGs (research)
Manage OIS pumps (ambulatory pumps)
Other duties as assigned
High school graduate or equivalent. Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants strongly preferred. Minimum two years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting.
