Responsible for recruitment and retention of practice-based research staff. Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws. Coordinates employee work schedules and TOWP. Responsible for implementation and evaluation of staff annual performance objectives and development goals. Coordinates staff training and in-services. Collaborates with practice management staff in the development and implementation of the research budget that includes accrual targets and financial objectives for each research location; develops accountability standards for each research location to ensure that targets and budgets are achieved. Collaborates with site research leader (SRL) and research staff in the implementation of action plans designed to improve practice research operations and quality assurance functions. Manages the clinical research operation in a practice for all research staff members in accordance with USON SOP and ICH GCP guidelines. Responsible for ensuring at the administrative level that all research activities are coordinated with all departments within the practice. Collaborates with the SRL, physicians of the practice and research committee in the process of study selection for the research program. Responsible for marketing the research program to the practice, community and referring physicians. Responsible for coordinating research activities with other (non-USOR) bases or sponsors. May be responsible for functioning in the role of clinical research coordinator.
Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or scientific related discipline desired, Bachelor’s degree nursing preferred. Minimum of seven years nursing experience, clinical or scientific related discipline, preferably in oncology. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred. RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current BCLS or ACLS certification required for nurses. SoCRA or ARCP certification preferred.
