Austin Cancer Centers (www.austincancercenters.com) is in a search for a Director of Medical and Surgical Oncology. ACC is headquartered in Austin, Texas, one of the fastest growing metro areas in the country.
With 14 locations ACC is a leader in integrated oncology services in the Central Texas region.
ACC currently offers radiation oncology, medical oncology, breast cancer care, gynecologic oncology, neuro oncology and pediatric oncology practice specialties and is able to deliver effective value based care and improve physical and mental outcomes for its patients. ACC has key partnerships with Seton and the Dell Medical School. Additionally the company is the managing partner in the region’s only CyberKnife service center.

Responsible for administrative, clinical, fiscal and operational leadership for the Medical and Surgical Oncology service lines. Provides oversight of the development of clinical, financial, personnel, and business development plans that foster growth, while meeting patient and provider expectations whereas aligning with the company goals and direction.
This position will be a key partner on the leadership team and is broadly accountable for producing desired results that meet or exceed targets that including financial performance, patient loyalty, growth initiatives, and quality clinical outcomes. Builds and maintains positive relationships with associates, medical staff, and the community. Plans, develops, and oversees growth and improvement of oncology care. Ensures efficient utilization of resources, process development, and program development consistent with company initiatives.
Required-Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Pharmacy or Healthcare Management. Preferred-Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business.
Ten years’ experience in middle or higher level management; must have significant experience in medical oncology and surgery.
Must have strong technical expertise and experience with clinical pathways, drug cost and utilization management, billing and coding, strong fiscal and business acumen.
