Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
This position is a Nurse Clinician in the MACC Fund Center Service line (hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplant) as a fertility navigator. The position will be day shift, 0.5 FTE but working a minimum of 3 days per week. Days and hours may vary based on clinic needs. Functions with demonstrated expertise and advanced knowledge and skill in the delivery of care to pediatric patients within the specified program. This position will include program development related to fertility navigation in the pediatric population. Key responsibilities include outpatient case management and coordination of care; provision of patient, family, and staff education; patient advocacy; staff collaboration and consultation; and participation in program development and quality improvement.
Requires a Broad based knowledge of nursing practices acquired through completion of a Bachelors degree in Nursing and three to four years pediatric nursing experience, in order to develop a comprehensive understanding of patient care within a defined patient population, and gain knowledge and skill in pediatric nursing procedures and standards.
A current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin.
Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
This position will be located at the main Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin hospital at the MACC Fund Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
