Manages nursing personnel and daily operational related activities in assigned clinic area using diverse skills in leadership, communication,
human resources and financial management. Collaborates with non-clinical support services to assure adherence to the requirements mandated by
Joint Commission, Department of Health, Quality Improvement and Infection Control. May act as a Nurse Navigator for GWV ENT/Head & Neck Program,
in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, coordinates, directs and evaluates all team responsibilities to ensure the success of the ENT /Head & Neck Program.
Serves as the coordinator between the patient and caregivers prior to initial evaluation, during treatment and during surveillance as indicated by the disease specific team.
Serves as a clinical expert to hospital staff. Meets qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age range.
Participates in research.
Works under the administrative direction of the Operational Management team of the Otolaryngology Department and the clinical direction of the
physician members of the multidisciplinary team.
Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximizes patient and family satisfaction.
Directly accountable to the Operations Manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduated from an approved School of Nursing. BSN required.
Requires Registered Nurse currently licensed in Pennsylvania or eligible to be licensed.
Must participate in continuing education activities to maintain and enhance knowledge.
Requires at least two years of clinical experience, preferably in Otolaryngology or Oncology related field.
Must have/obtain ACLS provider status within six months of employment and maintain status thereafter.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Considerable physical and emotional stamina required to deal with stressful aspects of ENT / Head & Neck patient needs.
