Patient Care Supervisor – Radiation Oncology – Minneapolis, MN
Join a team that is dedicated to excellence in patient care! Fairview Health Services is seeking a full-time Patient Care Supervisor for the Radiation Oncology unit located on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota.
Radiation is an essential part of treatment for some people with cancer and other disorders. University of Minnesota Health Cancer Care offers leading-edge radiation oncology treatments and technology for patients with cancer and other conditions. With the latest equipment and technology, our expert team of radiation specialists provide innovative and compassionate care for patients across the Twin Cities metro area.
This position is responsible for assisting the Manager/Director with department operations. This includes supervision of personnel and projects as delegated, including but not limited to hiring, discipline and performance evaluations. The Patient Care Supervisor position will supervise staff in Radiology Oncology, Gamma Knife and the High Dose Rate Brachytherapy programs.
This position will work 80 hours every two weeks, on the day shift.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field. If bachelor's is not in nursing then must have a master's degree in nursing
Experience in an inpatient hospital setting
Current Minnesota Registered Nurse license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Degree in nursing or related field
Oncology or radiation oncology experience
Infection prevention background
