Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Weekends as needed.
The Senior Research Nurse embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency that support our mission, vision and values. These standards are evident in the daily work when working directly with our oncology physicians and cancer patients.
The Senior Research Nurse will coordinate all aspects of patient care from the start of the clinical trial treatment through the duration of the research study. They will assist the oncology physicians in the clinical management of patient treatment and outcomes while educating patients about clinical trial options and the risks/benefits of participating in research studies. They will also perform data management activities for research studies (protocols) while maintaining compliance with hospital and regulatory bodies’ guidelines for the conduct of clinical trials.
Requirements for this position:
Illinois license to practice as Registered Nurse required
BSN and oncology certified nurse (OCN) preferred
Three years recent adult acute care experience required
Two years oncology nursing preferred
Experience in research data management preferred
