Accountable for the day to day operations of the Medical Oncology and Infusion Clinics. Ensures the patient experience and delivery of clinical care are consistent with stated quality standards while meeting the budget expectations of the organization. Specific responsibilities include effective cost containment as measured by the departmentï¿½s adherence to budget targets, staff satisfaction as measured by turnover and the annual employee survey, physician satisfaction as measured by the annual physician satisfaction survey, and patient satisfaction as measured by applicable patient surveys. Additional responsibilities include providing effective leadership by maintaining effective communications channels within the department, ensuring staffing is efficient and is adequate for safe patient care, and counseling and developing employees. Actively leads and/or participates in teams/committees to improve organizational outcomes and operations excellence and supports hospital initiatives to improve service and quality within the department.
B.A. or equivalent in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
Ten years of experience in a healthcare setting with a minimum of five years of clinic experience
Five years of management experience in a healthcare clinic setting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Meditech and Varian EHR programs strongly preferred
