Director of Nursing, Oncology BMT Full Time, 8am-4:30pm Baptist Hospital of Miami
Baptist Hospital of Miami, a part of Baptist Health South Florida, has been providing comprehensive cancer care for more than 30 years. Our staff works with patients in a variety of settings, including specialized cancer care centers for inpatient and outpatient treatments. In 2016 we welcomed the newest weapon in the fight against cancer, the world-class Miami Cancer Institute (MCI) and proton therapy center on the Baptist Hospital campus.
As part of our continued growth at Baptist Hospital and Miami Cancer Institute, we will be opening a new 200+ bed tower at Baptist Hospital of Miami. This new bed tower will include a new oncology and blood marrow transplant unit. The outpatient and inpatient transplant programs are an important part of our mission to provide sophisticated, high-quality cancer care to patients here in our region and also those coming from the Caribbean, Latin America and beyond.
As the Director, you will provide inter-professional leadership for quality care and services for the Oncology BMT unit to achieve strategic and operational goals by utilizing the concepts and standards outlined by ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Nursing Administration and maintaining competency in the domains as described by American Organization of Nurse Executive. You will also utilize the concepts of participative management to plan, innovate, coordinate, direct and evaluate patient services/programs to ensure that services are provided within the philosophy and objectives as well as within the policies and procedures of the Division of Nursing.
Master’s degree in Nursing or healthcare/management related field required.
5 years minimum leadership experience and clinical experience required.
BMT or Oncology experience preferred.
