The University of Miami, UMHC/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center has exciting opportunities for Infusion/Oncology RNs at their various satellite locations. The incumbent will be a professional Registered Nurse who will administer standard chemotherapy and biotherapy agents, research study and non-chemotherapy medications. He/she will administer care to oncology patients as well as with multiple disease process and research study patients. Monitors therapeutic responses and side effects, and obtains pharmacokinetic blood samples and other laboratory specimens as required by each protocol. Assists in maintenance of up-to-date protocol information in clinical areas. Will assess assigned patients and evaluates plans to include documentation of nursing care. Reports symptoms and changes in patients' condition and vital signs. Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses, conditions and physician orders. Reviews, evaluates and reports diagnostic tests to assess patient's condition.

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, valid Florida RN License, BSN required. BLS/ACLS required. One (1) to three (3) years oncology nursing experience to include recent experience in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents. Knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures, in-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (i.e. sanitation, decontamination etc.). Excellent patient experience skills. Oncology certification preferred.
