Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Penn Medicine LG Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for our 25 bed, all private rooms, inpatient oncology nursing unit. The Nurse Manager has 24/7 accountability of the nursing unit and will oversee approximately 65 FTE's. The Oncology inpatient unit specializes in the medical-surgical oncology population. The nursing team has the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population which includes medical oncology, surgical gynecology and mastectomy, palliative care patients and a variety of medical patients. The Oncology RNs are chemotherapy and biotherapy certified and provide compassionate and expert nursing care. This is a unit which has a supportive and strong team work ethic to create a workplace where all team members can succeed. The Nurse Manager will be closely connected to our outpatient cancer center, Anne B. Barshinger Cancer Institute (ABBCI), and will spend time in the outpatient setting several hours a week, collaborating on Transition of Care projects and fulfilling the role of a Team Lead. The Nurse Manager will be actively engaged with growth of the entire oncology service line.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, issued by the PA State Board of Nursing
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher level nursing degree is required.
Five (5) years of clinical experience; Oncology preferred
One (1) year of experience serving in a leadership role managing a team, 5 years preferred
Oncology Certification preferred.
