SHS’s Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center is the sponsoring institution of our American College of Surgeons accredited cancer program, in fact, it is the only ACOS accredited program in Oregon under the Academic Comprehensive Cancer Center category. Additionally, Good Sam is an NAPBC accredited program, recognizing only the top breast cancer programs in the country.
As a member of the OOS Corvallis region team, your responsibilities would include the care and management of patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Our APP’s provide patient education, bone marrow biopsies, survivorship visits, chemotherapy and immune therapy toxicity management, advanced care planning visits and general management of primary care issues related to hematology and oncology.
Board certification as Advanced Nurse Practitioner or NCCPA Certification for PA’s
Currently active full unrestricted Oregon state license required or able to obtain current DEA license (or eligible to obtain required)
Strong technical/computer skills and EMR experience required
Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
Caring and compassionate
Team player with excellent communication skills
Two years of clinical experience as a PA or NP
Background in hematology/, oncology or critical care strongly preferred
Corvallis is the hub of our Corvallis region, but work opportunities exist in the Heart of the Willamette Valley in Corvallis, Albany and Lebanon, and at the beautiful Oregon Coast in Lincoln City and Newport.
