Position Description
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Defines, plans, implements, and monitors patient care delivery, fiscal management, human resource management and departmental operations for Einstein Medical Center Montgomery's Outpatient Cancer Care Program at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery including Medical Oncology & Hematology and Radiation Oncology.
- Assumes a leadership role in developing policy and standards for patient care services.
- Participates in development and evaluation of nursing practices provided in the clinical setting and the overall function of the clinical area.
- This includes planning and provision of comprehensive nursing care to a specific group of patients and delivery of medical regimens prescribed for those patients by a licensed physician, and participation in the identification and resolution of nursing practice and unit problems
- This position requires providing service to the following age populations(s): age 18 and over including frail elderly, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of functional/developmental age of the individual served
If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:
- BSN required. MSN preferred
- Current Pennsylvania Nursing License required
- Five years oncology experience required
- A minimum of two years management/administrative/leadership in a nursing role
- Experience in nursing management preferred
- Previous fiscal and supervisory experience required
- Basic computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheet) required
- Oncology OCN highly preferred, must obtain certification when eligible.
- Biotherapy/Chemotherapy Certification Course Preferred or willingness to complete within three months of hire.
Physical Demands:
- Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, standing, walking and dexterity abilities. Occasional agility (bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, kneeling, turning) required
- Visual Requirements: Extensive exposure to VDT's (Video Display Terminal), near vision and depth perception abilities required
- Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear normal conversation, telephone communication, and low voice volumes, whispers
- Working Conditions: Office setting. Exposure to hazardous waste and radiation. Exposure to loud noises due to equipment or renovation
