The UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting a Nurse Clinician for its Gynecologic Oncology service, consisting of 12 faculty physicians, 4 other nurse clinicians, and 6 fellows in training. The person hired for this position will care for the range of patients seen by the Gynecologic Oncology Division, including women with gynecologic cancers, cervical and vulvar dysplasia, patients at increased risk of developing gynecologic malignancies, all benign gynecologic pathologies, and those patients referred specifically for surgical procedures. Additional responsibilities include coordination of clinical services for faculty and their patients (phone triage and advice, assessment and management of chemotherapy side effects), cooperative group and investigator-initiated protocol eligibility evaluations. Educational sessions for nurses and residents, and participation in investigator meetings, Division meetings, and journal clubs will also be expected.
