Work Hours/Shift: You Will Be Responsible For: - Provides direct care to assigned patients.
- Takes the nursing history, summarizes data, and states nursing diagnoses/ patient care needs.
- Observes and records signs, symptoms, and behaviors, including the physiological status of patients; presents the assessment of changes, the proposed revision of interventions, and desired outcomes.
- Follows policy for activating an individualized plan of care for newly admitted patients.
- Delivers designated nursing interventions to assigned patients that are consistent with the stated medical plan of care.
- Performs admission, discharge, and transfer procedures, and assists others with patient's activities and care.
- Executes physician's orders for all assigned patients; safely and properly administers medications and treatments.
- Notifies appropriate nursing and medical staff to changes in the patient's status.
- Independently performs duties and assumes responsibility for care of assigned patients.
- Performs techniques and routines in the Radiology service area.
- Performs or assists others to perform proper aseptic techniques, isolation procedures, and infection control measures.
- Documents nursing care in all assigned patient records.
- Always maintains patient’s privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
- Evaluates care given including the patient response.
- Reassesses and documents the proposed revision of interventions and desired outcomes.

- Performs Specialist nursing procedures by assessing, planning, and delivering care, working closely with Interventional Radiologists and other Health Care Professionals often involving interventional procedures which may include conscious sedation.
- Participates in covering call for emergent cases after hours on a rotating schedule.
- Participates in the development of the specialist nursing service in Radiology.
Qualifications
What You Will Need: - Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, AND
- Valid AHA Advanced life support certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements.
- Graduate of a school of Nursing.
- Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement.
- NIHSS from Know Stroke (NIHSS from American Heart Association will be accepted upon hire, subsequent renewals must be completed through Know Stroke)
Job Summary: - The Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) Provides self-directed care for the patient undergoing radiologic procedures and treatments such as, MRI, CT Scans, Ultrasonography, radiologic imaging, and radiation oncology. The radiology nurse will be responsible for assisting the Radiologist in various radiology procedures by prepping patients beforehand, by explaining the process to them, checking their vital signs and administering medicine when necessary and other duties as assigned in accordance with Division of Nursing standards and pursuant to Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 464.003 (3) (a): “Practice of professional nursing means the performance of those acts requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skill based upon applied practices of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences which shall include, but not limited to:
- The observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirmed; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health and prevention of illness and others.
- The administration of medication and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments.
