Overview The University of Minnesota Medical Center represents an integrated academic health care system and is comprised of two hospitals and dozens of adult specialty clinics on both the East and West banks of the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis. It is the flagship facility of Fairview providing breakthrough medicine and transforming the health of our community. This position is for M/S+ (all M/S units plus Specialty Units). M/S units: Medicine (5A/5B), General Surgery (7B), Surgery Oncology (7C), Medical Oncology (7D), Neuroscience (6A), Observation (observation and outpatient) (6D) Specialty Units: Solid Organ Transplant, Tele, BMT and adult IMC The position is fast paced, requires critical thinking, partnering with unit staff to provide excellence in patient care and offers many learning opportunities. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. Required:
