We are seeking an oncology nursing professional to provide leadership and direction of the Cancer Care Center in collaboration with the Department Director. Assists in achieving budget projections in both operating expenses and FTE's. Assists Director in performance improvement activities. Ensures consistent application of all departmental and JMH policies.
Maintains personnel requirements for department staff including job descriptions, performance appraisals, disciplinary action, continuing education and proficiency testing for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Provides for employee selection, orientation, training, supervision and review. Responsible for providing appropriate staffing to perform departmental functions to meet expectations of departmental customers and hematology/oncology standards.
Participates in the promotion of the hematology/oncology department through presentations of programs to staff and outside groups.
Assists physicians in the Cancer Care Center, enters data into system, monitors patients during treatment and provides for patient safety; prepares reports and distributes as appropriate; starts IV and administers medications at the direction of the oncology physician. Maintains records, and distributes reports as appropriate, provides patient and family education. Enters orders and charges as needed.

Current Indiana Registered Nurse license required. At least 5 years of nursing experience in hematology/oncology required. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification required. BLS or CPR for the Healthcare Provider certification required. BSN required.
