The Infusion Clinic Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in the infusion clinic, personnel management, program development and administrative duties. An ideal candidate demonstrates innovation, creativity and leadership and will work to collaboratively assure the delivery of quality care. Reports to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center Administrator
Essential Functions Include:
Clinical Service Operations - Responsible for clinical operations of the Infusion Clinic. Researches and implements processes to increase the quality, safety and efficiency of all nursing services. Continuously monitors systems/processes/problems within clinical operation and initiates improvements as necessary. Acts as a liaison between the patient and the physicians, clinical staff, medical records personnel, and the business office. Ensures that physicians and patients are satisfied with level of nursing care and coordination of services
Personnel Management - Works collaboratively with Human Resources to select, onboard and train infusion team members of the highest quality; supervises and orients all staff to center policies and procedure. Promotes teamwork; motivate employees; inspires employee’s trust; addresses staff problems; regularly and effectively provides employees with feedback about job performance; recognizes employee contributions and accomplishments; constructively counsels employees when performance is below standards.
Quality Improvement - Collaboratively works with Quality Program team to develop and implement the organization's quality improvement program in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards.
Graduate of accredited school of nursing (RN); Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years general nursing experience; oncology and supervisor experience preferred
RN, Louisiana State Board of Nursing license and CPR required

This position will be at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center’s flagship campus on Essen Lane in Baton Rouge, La. Across its network and specifically at the Essen location, Mary ...Bird Perkins provides radiation oncology and outreach services and will provide imaging, supportive care and medical oncology.
