Cookeville Regional Medical Center seeks Director of Oncology to oversee a successful cancer program that strives to enhance the quality of life for their patients.
The Director will be responsible for the successful operation of the Cancer program (Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology) including development of budget, goals/objective and policies/procedures. An oncology knowledge base is essential to actively promote Cancer Center activities. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is accountable for providing vision, leadership, and promoting innovation in developing and implementing strategies and polices to provide high quality patient care in a cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Identifying and documenting oncology best practices
Manages the cancer registry, cancer program accreditation efforts, Clinical Trials, Patient Navigation Services, Nutrition, Social Work and related activities.
Coordinates with Marketing to expand oncology services and increase market share, through both external marketing efforts and internal analysis.
Coordinates communication between the Cancer Center, Administration, Marketing, Oncology Committee, Nursing Service, Radiation Oncology and other involved areas.
Actively represents CRMC in the Community in a manner that reflects CRMC’s Mission, Vision and values
Manage oncology revenue cycle team to ensure positive margins in the oncology service line
This position places strong emphasis on the following outcomes: delivery of quality services, applying best practices, creating a highly-effective work unit, developing and retaining excellent personnel including nurses, social workers and nurse navigators. The Director will work closely with the Medical Staff.
