Registered Nurse
As a registered nurse working on the Oncology Medical/Surgical unit, you will be responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on age-specific components; Responsible for the coordination of care focused on patient transition through the continuum of care; Conduct patient and family education, patient self-management after discharge; Administer medications and procedures; Influence care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team; Knowledgeable and actively participates in unit/program level quality improvement processes, initiatives, and customer service programs.
