1A unit is an Oncology-Hematology, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry unit aligned under Hospital Care Services, specializing in Hematology and Oncology. Provides acute care services to veterans with a diverse range of medical and/or surgical conditions.; and provides telemetry monitoring for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, but does not meet criteria for intensive care . The unit is accountable for the delivery of quality and evidence-based nursing care for the patients. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
