Job Summary:

The Emergency Response Nurse (ERN) has the responsibility for responding to calls and critical situations or concerns on all critical care and emergency units. The Emergency Response Nurse (ERN) will assess, evaluate and initiate approved interventions as appropriate to patient at risk for or exhibiting a change in condition. The Emergency Response Nurse (ERN) will utilize critical nursing and thinking skills in a manner that supports quality of patient care and optimum outcomes. Acts as a role model by mentoring and educating nursing staff while assisting in delivering bedside care in a supportive relationship that facilitates the appropriate and timely treatment of patients. Maintains open communication with all staff to promote improvement of performance. Supports the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients.

Training and Experience

Mandatory:

Current CA Registered Nurse

BLS, ACLS certification

Minimum 3-5 Years as a Critical Care Nurse

Preferred:

BSN (Bachelor's Degree in Nursing)
