Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center brings acute inpatient medical services to communities in Cumberland, Perry, and York counties. The facility features 108 private inpatient beds and an attached outpatient medical office building.

Registered Nurses in the IMCU are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a designated group of patients. The Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) is located on the 3rd floor of the Hampden Medical Center and can provide exceptional care to 24 patients, in spacious private rooms. Patients admitted to the IMCU can have a wide array of abnormalities. The IMC team provides care to adult and geriatric patients admitted for medical or surgical needs. These patients include, but are not limited, to EGS/Acute Care, General Surgery, Neurology, Gynecology-Oncology, Orthopedic, Cardiology, and Medicine patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree in Nursing Required

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by State of employment

Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 6 months of start date

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and BLS certified
