Position Summary: The Breast Health Center Nurse Navigator acts as primary point of contact for breast cancer patient care delivery. This position supports collaboration between Breast Health, nursing, physicians, and other disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes. This position requires organization and interpretation of information relating to a wide variety of policies, procedures, and programs. This position requires extensive internal and external contacts. Internal contacts are with all levels of staff and management. External contacts include physicians, physician office staff, outside health care providers and organizations, vendors, and staff from other health care facilities and agencies. patients after initial diagnosis and until patient have sufficient knowledge and resources to self-direct care. In conjunction with other members of the Imaging multidisciplinary team, the nurse navigator monitors, coordinates care and educates cancer patients and families as they move through the MultiCare Health System. The Breast Health Center Nurse Navigator will work with the Breast Health Supervisor to coordinate the overall care to Breast Health Services include the provision of resources and an environment that facilitates optimal, cost efficient patient care delivery.
Minimum Requirements: Previous navigation experience or expertise in disease specific preferred Prior experience leading groups of clinical and non-clinical staff preferred Two years RN experience preferred
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within three years from the initial date of hireAdvanced Degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred Current Washington State Nursing License
