Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full time Registered Nurse for Orthopedic Oncology, part of Atlantic Medical Group in Morristown, NJ.

Hours are 8 Hr shifts, Monday through Friday. No weekend requirement.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
• Assists physician and advanced practice providers with checking in/out patients, scheduling/rescheduling patients for appointments, rooming, obtain/tracking specimen/reports/authorizations, reprocess instruments, aid patients in getting imaging scheduled, scheduling and following up on referrals
• Serve as a nurse navigator - providing individualized patient care
• Assist in set up and during office procedures such as biopsies and excisions
• Assisting in paperwork such as disability forms and doctor's notes
• Candidates must have excellent communication, organization, and computer skills
• Must have the ability to work in fast paced, highly specialized setting with focus on patient safety and efficiency with some comfortability in autonomy
• Must be able to multi-task and understand working with a complex patient population
• Triage phone calls utilizing assessment skills to evaluate the patient's reason for call and assess the urgency of the problem
• Educating patients and staff in this ongoing learning environment
• Recognizes and proactively responds to opportunities to enhance patient and staff satisfaction
• Aid in monitoring inventory and helping patient set up special home durable medical equipment

Education:

• BSN required

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Valid NJ RN License
• BLS
• Strong computer and communication skills a must
• Inpatient floor and doctor's office exp preferred
