Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full time Registered Nurse for Orthopedic Oncology, part of Atlantic Medical Group in Morristown, NJ.
Hours are 8 Hr shifts, Monday through Friday. No weekend requirement.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
Assists physician and advanced practice providers with checking in/out patients, scheduling/rescheduling patients for appointments, rooming, obtain/tracking specimen/reports/authorizations, reprocess instruments, aid patients in getting imaging scheduled, scheduling and following up on referrals
Serve as a nurse navigator - providing individualized patient care
Assist in set up and during office procedures such as biopsies and excisions
Assisting in paperwork such as disability forms and doctor's notes
Candidates must have excellent communication, organization, and computer skills
Must have the ability to work in fast paced, highly specialized setting with focus on patient safety and efficiency with some comfortability in autonomy
Must be able to multi-task and understand working with a complex patient population
Triage phone calls utilizing assessment skills to evaluate the patient's reason for call and assess the urgency of the problem
Educating patients and staff in this ongoing learning environment
Recognizes and proactively responds to opportunities to enhance patient and staff satisfaction
Aid in monitoring inventory and helping patient set up special home durable medical equipment
Qualifications
Education:
BSN required
Qualifications/Requirements:
Valid NJ RN License
BLS
Strong computer and communication skills a must
Inpatient floor and doctor's office exp preferred
