Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse for the Medical Oncology Simon 5 Unit at Morristown Medical Center to work 7pm to 7am including on-call and every other weekend.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
Candidate will assist physician(s) with CATH/PCI, Peripheral, Impella, Structural Heart Cases (CoreValve, SAPIEN, MitraClip, Watchman, Valvuloplasty, PFO, ASD) and ICD cases.
Administers post-recovery care of patients including, arterial and venous sheath removal.
Must be able to assess for and manage arterial access site complications.
Adheres to on-call policy requirements and responds appropriate to emergency calls per unit policy.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or GED required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
BSN Required
Minimum Experience:
1-2 years acute care experience preferred
Licenses/Certification:
Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
BLS Required
Oncology Certification Preferred
Chemo certified a plus
Qualifications:
Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Strong IV skills
Must have interest in Oncology population
