Overview
Morristown Medical Center, part of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient Medical Oncology Infusion team, to work days (hours vary) weekends only.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Qualifications
Education:
Completion of an accredited nursing program required
BSN preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid New Jersey RN license required
BLS required
Oncology certification preferred
Related Experience:
1-2 years experience in oncology outpatient
Must be knowledgeable in VAD
Strong IV skills
Knowledge of the complex care needed for oncology patients in an outpatient setting
Good time management skills
Team-player
Candidate must have Oncology experience including administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy regimens, have knowledge of Cancer Care treatment and therapy plans.
Candidate must be certified in chemo/bio.
