Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH), located in beautiful Astoria, Oregon, is seeking a nurse leader to join our CMH-OHSU Knight Cancer Collaborative to oversee the daily operations of our Medical Oncology/Infusion Therapy clinic. Our Cancer Center is a collaboration with Oregon Health & Science University which provides a comprehensive community cancer program for radiation oncology, medical oncology and infusion services, serving patients of the Columbia-Pacific region.
This position supervises and coordinates all nursing and general clinic management activities of the Oncology/Infusion Therapy clinic. This manager position exists to help better serve our patients by providing the administrative oversight and supervision of all clinical and administrative staff to enhanced quality of patient care. This position is also responsible for tracking and maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements.
This is a CMH leadership position that is responsible for delivering customer service which anticipates and exceeds patient expectations and ensures team members in the clinic are creating a memorable and positive patient experience.
This position requires demonstrated knowledge of Oncology/Infusion Therapy clinics as well as knowledge of general clinical office procedures including knowledge of CPT codes, financial/budget oversight, computer skills, and demonstrating and modeling exceptional customer service and practices are also required.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree; Masters in Nursing or healthcare related field preferred (complete or in progress)
Five years of relevant RN experience
Valid Oregon RN license and BLC certification
Two years of recent experience in progressively increasing managerial/supervisory roles in a hospital or medical setting
Experience with process improvement
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to coach staff to be able to resolve conflicts with their colleagues
Demonstrated leadership and planning skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting
Understanding of the Nursing Professional Practice role and can be a coach and mentor to staff in understanding their professional role
Preferred Qualifications:
Ambulatory Care experience
Experience with an oncology and/or BMT patient population
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
Familiarity with managing nursing staff in an oncology infusion unit
Community hospital leadership experience
