Recruits forensic nurses and/or recruits nurses to obtain training to perform forensic exams. Responsible for ensuring all forensic nurses receive and maintain appropriate education and competencies as outlined by the program. Serve as the subject matter expert and primary resource for Denver metro area forensic nurse examiners. Collaborates with Emergency Departments and medical staff to ensure standardization in practice and documentation. Responsible for managing the Forensic Nurse Examiner program budget. Assists with maintenance of Forensic Nurse Examiner program policies.Fulfills any grant award requirements such as writing narrative reports, obtaining necessary metrics, meetings with grantors, and signing documents. Builds and maintains relationships with law enforcement and community partners. Provides testimony in court as needed. The program coordinator will maintain clinical competency to provide forensic nurse exams as needed. What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Education Requirements:* Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required* Master's Degree Nursing Preferred Minimum Experience Requirements: * 5 years experience as a nurse in the acute care setting* 3 years experience as a Forensic Nurse Examiner License/Certifications Requirements: * RN license to practice in CO* Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner- Adult/Adolescent- IAFN International Association of Forensic Nurses Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:St. Anthony Hospital, located in Lakewood, Colorado, is a Level I Trauma Center with four trauma rooms including the T-10 room, a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams who provide life-saving care to the most severely ill and injured patients.
