Hours/Shifts: 8:00a - 4:30p OR 8:30a - 5:00p
Penn State Health - Andrews Patel Hematology/Oncology is the region's premier provider of high quality, compassionate oncology and hematology services in a community setting. Andrews Patel was founded in July 1985, and recently affiliated with Penn State Health in 2018, offers two outpatient practice sites in Harrisburg and Camp Hill and also currently provides inpatient cancer services at several local hospitals. We are seeking compassionate, experienced LPN's who are looking to make a difference in the lives of their patients. The LPN is responsible for serving patients that are being treated for cancer and other related medical conditions. This role is primarily responsible for administering treatments, such as infusions, injections and will require strong IV skills and will also include administrative/phone triage responsibilities such as scheduling treatments, post-hospitalization follow-up and direct care to patients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
High School Diploma
Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to stand & sit constantly; walk frequently
Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs. frequently; 11-50 lbs. occasionally
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs. frequently; 21-75 lbs. occasionally
Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly
Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping
