Surgical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider
The division of surgical oncology seeks a motivated, compassionate advanced practice provider to provide pre- and post-operative evaluation and longitudinal follow up for surgical patients with oncologic disease.
This outpatient practice will focus primarily on continuity of care for patients with hepatobiliary disease, melanoma, sarcoma and gastric cancer. The provider will responsible for both in person and virtual appointments (dependent on goal of visit as well as patient preferences). In addition, this provider will assist in interpretation and follow up of radiographic and laboratory studies and help with medication management when necessary. Given the complexity of cancer diagnoses and the need for seamless interdisciplinary care, candidates should excel in communication and interpersonal skills.
As an academic institution, the ideal candidate should have an interest in medical education and a willingness to work with and mentor medical students and surgical residents in the clinic.
Prior experience in surgical oncology is preferred but not required.
