SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Located on the iconic and bustling Union Deposit road in Harrisburg, the Penn State Health Andrews Patel ? Hematology Oncology Services Harrisburg office is seeking an Attending Registered Nurse to join the clinical team! This office operates during week-day/daytime hours, so enjoy your weekend, evenings, and holidays at your leisure!
The designated Attending RN will be situated on the Infusion floor ? conducting IV insertions, administering both chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy treatments, and handling direct patient care and education. There will be administrative duties for completion that focus on communication for patient inquiry and follow-up. The chosen Attending RN will also be in a state of constant education for novel therapies and treatments to best aid all assigned patients.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess knowledge of oncology-based practices and infusion techniques. On average, the nursing team will provide treatment for an average of 40 patients/day, so multitasking will play a pivotal role. This office park does occasionally host food trucks and participates in ?FUN Fridays? to emphasize teambuilding - #worklifebalance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Associate?s degree in Nursing.
Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
