Clinical Nurse Manager opportunity with a leading outpatient regional cancer center. Sequoia Regional Cancer Center is located in Visalia California and serves the Central Valley of California providing critical cancer treatment services to our community. As the Clinical Nurse Manager you will supervise a team of 20 oncology professionals and a patient volume of 70-100 patients per day. You will have the full support and services of Kaweah Health the largest nonprofit comprehensive healthcare district in CA. You will work in a creative progressive environment including a newly launched early lung cancer detection program and co-located Radiation Oncology and Imaging Center. Job Responsibilities
Responsible for effective management of day-to-day clinical operations for each assigned clinics/service line in a manner that supports high quality services and satisfaction.
Reviews clinic systems, concerns, and operational/clinical goals with physicians for all assigned clinics/service lines.
Participates as a core member of the outpatient clinic leadership team to strengthen organizational capacity: promotes the outpatient network’s goals and philosophies to staff; participates in management committees; and actively cooperates with others in support of the assigned clinic’s goals.
Plans, budgets, organizes and manages the department’s data/financial goals to accomplish operational and strategic objectives. Analyzes and interprets complex data sets and reports, i.e., variance analysis, financial/quality, population specific reports.
Participates in the creation of a work environment and culture that facilitates personal growth and well-being for all and fosters a harmonious working environment in which high quality, cost effective patient care, and customer services are consistently provided.
Performs personnel management functions including hiring, training, mentoring, performance reviews (PFPs), and counseling/disciplines.
Responsible for effectively handling patient complaints, patient problem solving, patient intervention, patient service recovery.
Conducts regular agenda driven monthly meetings with staff and providers to address issues, concerns, and to communicate mission of organization.
Focuses on quality improvement, utilization and reducing medical costs while incorporating the skills of provider partners whenever possible.
Responsible for establishing and updating written policies and procedures for clinics.
Supports quality program and contractual requirements while maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Acts as the clinical expert and is the resource person for Joint Commission.
Follows through with applications of new programs for expanded clinical services.

Responsible for "out-reach" and coordination of services with outside agencies and community resources as they pertain to clinic services.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Knowledgeable of growth and development for all patient/family cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age specific needs. Able to effectively communicate and care for patient and family as reflected in the Plan for Provision of Care.
License /Certification
Required: Current CA RN license Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.
Education
Required: Bachelor's Degree in business administration, nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
Experience
Required: Three to five years of operational supervisory experience in healthcare.
Preferred: Supervisory experience in outpatient clinics (i.e. rural health clinics or federally qualified health centers), demonstrating the ability to lead and manage complex outpatient operations successfully.
