The PeopleSoft Financial Developer is responsible for the development of reports, integrations, conversions, and enhancements related to PeopleSoft product suites, along with coordinating with functional analysts in identification and remediation of incidents and all tasks related to production support.
Responsibilities
- Provide PeopleSoft technical services by acting as subject matter expert and providing input on best technical practices, options, risks and impacts to other processes and systems.
- Serve as technical lead in requirement and functional specifications review and clarification.
- Collaborate with functional team on high-level technical design.
- Complete detailed technical design and development for system enhancements and fixes.
- Perform estimation and delivery planning for system enhancements.
- Create unit testing plans and perform unit testing review.
- Serve as escalation support for incident troubleshooting and resolution, and service request support.
- Lead data transmission connectivity and implementation efforts regarding interfaces and integrations with external platforms.
- Continually seek ways to automate, improve and standardize system and business processes.
- Serve in development role for PeopleSoft upgrades and fixes, implementations, and upgrades of integrated software, as well as for system integration, conversion and restructuring efforts.
- Provide backup support for functions performed by the System Analysts.
- Design solutions and controls that support standard accounting requirements and corporate policies.
- Analyze user requirements, providing advice to users on the implications of analysis and programming applications.
Qualifications
REQUIRED FOR THIS JOB:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, finance, or another related field.
- Minimum 1 year of PeopleSoft development experience.
- Minimum 3 years PeopleSoft functional support.
- Experience and ability with Microsoft SQL server, particularly for data driven web applications.
- Experience troubleshooting application functionality and performance problems in major web browsers and mobile devices.
- Experience deploying and maintaining complex, custom, multi-tiered application systems in a complex, global, online environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on development experience using PeopleTools such as: Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Integration Broker, BI Publisher, Component Interface, and Application Packages.
- Excellent understanding of available PeopleCode functions to support efficient, and minimal custom code development.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with reporting tools such as: SQR, nVision, BI Publisher, and PS Query.
- Technical understanding and experience with PeopleSoft security administration and PeopleSoft's Approval Workflow Engine including developing custom workflows.
- Solid understanding of setup tables, configuration options, workflow methodologies, reporting, and module integration.
- Working knowledge of systems integrations, architecture, and ability to partner with stakeholders and architecture to map and diagram business processes, workflows and provide details on complex system subject matters.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills.
- Builds confidence and trust with business customers.
- Follow through on all assignments and take ownership of customer issues.
- Efficiently manages workload, with timely and appropriate updates.
PREFERRED FOR THIS JOB:
- Application support in a healthcare and/or medical or scientific research environment.
- Broad range of technical skills covering systems, security, and applications.
- Security best practices knowledge.
- Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft modules General Ledger, Asset Management, Billing, Accounts Receivable, eProcurement, Purchasing, Expenses and Accounts Payable, Contracts, cash management.
- Scripting experience in PowerShell or Windows batch.
- Experience desired in data analytic and visualization software, such as Tableau.
- Experience implementing and troubleshooting secured data transmissions (SFTP, PGP, SSHSFTP, etc.)
- Experience in different cloud-based technical architectures, different hosting methods (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
- Experience supporting integrated systems: KRONOS, Concur, Axiom, Blackline, Workday.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $102,419.20 to $161,865.60 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
