The Medical Oncology Unit Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care for medical patients throughout their hospital stay. The RN demonstrates competency in the planning of care for patients across the care continuum. He/she participates in patient and family teaching, provides leadership by working collaboratively with ancillary services and the interdisciplinary team, and maintains the highest standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
