Summary:
Provide clinical support to Neurologist and Neuro APP
Obtain Auth's for Neuro procedures and medications.
Provide and complete extensive chart prep for patients seeing Neurologist and APP
Provide Direct supervision for Neuro CMA or PCA
Provide training for new Neuro team members
Provide injections to patients as requested
Ensure CMA CMEs and ACLS/BLS are current and up to date
Review PTO request of support staff to ensure continuity of care for patients
Obtain Preceptor certification for Neurology
Maintain CMA licenses or certifications that adhere to Beebe Healthcare
Responsibilities:
Room patients and check vitals
Document med lists w/patients
Schedule patients for f/u visits
Assist patients with scheduling appts with specialist ordered by our Providers
Complete chart prep for scheduled appts
Triage patient concerns
Obtain insurance auths for meds and requested tests order by our Providers
Assist Provider with EMGs
Order supplies for Neuro office
Be available to assist Providers as needed
General supervision of Neuro PCA or CMA
Report to Clinical Care Coordinator and Practice Manager
Cross train with General Surgery, Surgical Oncology and Center for Weight Loss Surgery in order to provide clinical support when needed
Assist other BMG office when needed
Cross train with Front Desk and assist when needed
Other information:
This position will directly impact patient access as it will provide expert chart preparation in accordance with the very specifics of Neuro med records and tests results. The Lead CMA will be expected to multi-task the detailed requests of the Neurologist and APP.
