The Nurse Manager is designated as the first-line supervisor and is charged with the responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day operations of their assigned unit. The position is responsible for developing a strategic plan to assure the availability of outstanding nursing services for participants in clinical research studies on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD.
This role involves close collaboration with partners like the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and requires exceptional leadership skills, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
All positions require US citizenship. Rull and unrestricted RN license from any US State or territory. The ideal candidate will possess recent leadership and management experience and 3-5 years of oncology experience in an acute care setting. Requires skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with medical and clinical staff, institute stakeholders and research participants. BSN, MSN or MS in a related field preferred.
